This is a light but cozy vintage Kantha Coat with a hood and pockets. It has big kimono sleeves and a wide easy fit. It ties in front and is reversible. Kanthas are made from vintage saris , they put two together back to back with a cotton layer in between and hand stitch them in India. Once the saris are sewn together they live a second life. They are used as blankets and room dividers and all kinds of useful things. So now this kantha is on it's third life as a fabulous coat! Good for the beach, good for shopping, good for festivals! Handmade, Hand dyed clothing
This is a vintage kantha so it should be washed in cold water gently by hand. You can squeeze out the excess water but do not twist it. It's ok to put this item in the dryer on a short cycle or you can dry clean it.
