Forest and Rose Red Cotton Kantha Coat by One Wing Studio for The Majestic
Here is a neat Kantha coat I made. The vintage Kantha was created from a pair of cotton saris and sewn by hand in India. I then used the kantha (blanket) to make this light-weight coat. It has a single pocket and no closure. The sleeves are 3/4 length and it has large insets to give a raffish angle to the skirts. It's an easy fit and a comfy add-on to any outfit, looks great with boots and jeans, and dressy with lots of big jewelry! Be sure to spin around a lot in it to show the turquoise lining! This coat is made from vintage kantha and should be gently hand washed in cold water with mild soap. Please squeeze out excess water and do not twist. Lay flat to dry or use a clean plastic hanger. Dry cleaning is ok too.
